Make Organic Beeswax Wraps ♣

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 100g/3.5oz Beeswax Pellets
  • 20g/0.7oz Damir Resin or Pine Rosin
  • 3 Teaspoons/15mL/0.5oz Jojoba Oil
  • 6 (squares) 12x12 Light Woven Cotton
  • 1 Old Metal Cooking Pot
  • 1 New Paintbrush
  • 1 Package of Tinfoil

Method

  1. Using the double boiler method on top of the stove on medium heat melt the Beeswax Pellets in a glass Pyrex measuring cup.
  2. Add the crushed up Resin stirring thoroughly together.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the Organic Jojoba Oil.
  4. Turn oven on to 100C(200F) to pre-warm and cover some baking sheets with tin foil to protect them.
  5. Cut the fabric with pinking sheers if you have them to avoid fraying.
  6. Line the baking sheets with tinfoil then the fabric.
  7. With the clean new paintbrush quickly and evenly brush the product on the fabric and place in the over for 5 minutes.
  8. When the fabric is evenly coated carefully remove the beeswax wrap from the foil and hang in a dry place for 3 minutes to allow to set.
  9. Use as needed.
