Ingredients and Method
Ingredients
- 0.7 oz Beeswax
- 2.5 oz Carrier Oil (Almond, Apricot, Grapeseed, Jojoba)
- 0.5 oz Shea Butter
- 0.3 oz Vitamin E Oil
- 8 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 16 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Method
- Melt .7 oz of Beeswax in a double broiler.
- Once melted, add the 0.5 oz Shea Butter and mix both together until fully melted and combined.
- Then add in 2.5 oz of your Carrier Oil of choice (such as Almond, Apricot, Grapeseed, Jojoba) and combine thoroughly.
- Remove from heat, stir in the 0.3 oz Vitamin E Oil.
- Once combined, mix in 8 drops of Tea Tree & 16 drops of Lavender Essential Oil.
- Then pour into your glass jar of choice and allow to cool completely before use.
- With clean hands, remove a bit of the salve and warm between your fingers/hands. Gently rub on your tattoo to keep skin moisturized during the healing process.
- Replace cover/lid and store in a cool dark place until next use.
- (This is a 1% Essential Oil dilution rate for the sensitive nature of tattoos, double or tripe Essential Oils for a 2 - 3% rate for a general skin salve.)
