What is it?

 

Sandalwood essential oil is derived from the East Indian sandalwood tree and is created by the steam distillation process.

 

How can I use it?

Sandalwood essential oil can trigger the brain’s olfactory senses and can help calm the mind, reduce stress and promote feelings of relaxation.

    

Alternative Skin Cancer Care

The Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics published research which showed sandalwood essential oil may help fight skin cancer because it contains an ingredient called α-santalol. Research has revealed α-santalol can help promote cell death of cancerous cells.

Anxiety Relief

In a study published by the National Library of Medicine, 87 women undergoing a breast biopsy showed that sandalwood used in aromatherapy regimes helped reduce anxiety.
