DIY Crafting with Kids!

Creating do-it-yourself projects with your kids can be a great family bonding activity and also teach them vital life skill so they can grow up avoiding toxic chemicals and learn to make their own safe, natural products!

When doing DIY projects with little ones, it is important to choose age-appropriate activities to keep them as safe as possible. For example, when crafting with younger children, be careful not to expose them to items that may be unsafe if they attempt to put them in their mouths. It is also imperative that you be careful when using heat sources around little ones to avoid burns.

It is not recommended that you do any project that involves non-edible ingredients with children under the age of 7.

When doing projects with non-edible chemicals with older children, it is important to have a conversation with them before hand over safety rules. Ensure that they are aware that the ingredients are not to be ingested and they avoid getting them in their eyes, nose or mouth.

Below is a great DIY recipe for making fun jelly soap! This soap is made for bath time play and is not to be ingested.
